Altoona Football League
The Pleasant Valley 5th/6th Grade Football team captured the AFL Championship Tuesday night by beating M&T Bank
24-0 and finishing the season a perfect 9-0.
The Bulldogs, led all year by a strong ground game, surprised the defense with a quick pass down the right sideline
to go ahead 8-0 early in the game. Some hard running and a quick reverse to the RB got the score to 14-0 in the 2nd Quarter.
An interception before the half allowed the Bulldogs to add another score with a dump off screen to the RB to go up 22-0
before halftime.
The Bulldogs' defense played a great game as well, intercepting two passes and thwarting an M&T Bank drive deep inside
Bulldog territory. The defense put the game to rest with a safety in the 4th Quarter.

CBRC Elementary Basketball
Congratulations to the Boy's 6th Grade Basketball Team for winning the CBRC Boys "A" 6th Ward Elementary Basketball League. They defeated Juniata 38-34 to the win the championship. Congrats on a great season!
Congratulations to the Girl's 4th Grade Basketball Team for placing 2nd in the CBRC Girl's "C" Elementary Basketball League. The Girl's 4th Grade Team played Logan Elementary for the championship and played a close game, before losing 13-9. The Girl's 4th Grade Team finished the season 10-2-1. Congrats on a great season!
