Mrs. Renee Link
Hello! My name is Mrs.Link. I’m the Elementary Library Media Specialist (AKA Librarian) for four of the eight elementary buildings. I rotate working within the following elementary schools: Baker, Ebner, Logan, and Pleasant Valley. I get to work with students in grades K-6th every other week for Library class.
I graduated in 2004 from IUP with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. In 2008, I earned my certification in Special Education through Saint Francis University. I completed my Masters in Education in School Library and Information Technologies from Mansfield University in 2013. I began working in the Altoona Area School District in 2013 as a classroom teacher, but in 2015, I was given the opportunity to work within the elementary libraries and I was thrilled!
My day is spent working with classes for 30 minutes on various library skills and activities. I enjoy helping students research to learn new ideas and concepts, reading stories aloud to them and discussing various authors and books with them.
