Busy Valentine's Week at PV

It is bustling around PV this week. Student Council is busy selling ring pops to raise money. The are also hosting a Teacher's Pet contest where students vote on the teachers' cutest pets. The PTA is busy running the Book Fair in the library. Open house night is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tues. On Thursday students will be celebrating Valentine's Day with their classmates by exchanging Valentines and eating ice cream donated by our local Dairy Queen. Lastly, Student Council journeyed to HillView for some Valentine crafts and balloon games with the residents. Check out our Albums page for more pics!

If you have a subscription, #CelebrateWithDE – Black History Month also has great resources for teachers to share African American achievements with their students. Some topics include the Emancipation Proclamation, comparing the Harlem Renaissance to the rise of hip hop, and Ruby Bridges.

Teacher's Pet Contest

Student Council is hosting a "Teacher's Pet" contest. Beginning Feb. 13 students will vote on the teachers' cutest pets. Teachers will bring in a cute picture of their pet. Pictures will be posted in a conspicuous place (teacher name withheld to be fair!), and students can cast their vote for the cutest pet. One vote is one penny. COINS ONLY!!!
