Welcome!!

Hello Pleasant Valley family! My name is Madeline Coy and I am so excited to start another year in the district as the 5th grade reading teacher! My name is changed this year - I recently got married! I was formerly known as Miss Weaver, that may ring a bell to a few! 

 

I am a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I am very passionate about reading and how important it is for students to not see reading as a chore or something they just have to do for school. I want to cultivate the love of reading for all my students! Books offer so much to our lives when we find the perfect genre or type of story we love. I am so excited to offer many types of books for you children to hopefully find what they love.

 

In my free time, I love spending time with my family and reading!
