Welcome!!

Hello Pleasant Valley family! My name is Madeline Coy and I am so excited to start another year here at Pleasant Valley! This year I will be teaching my homeroom Leader in Me, reading, and writing. I will be teaching Miss Sipes' homeroom reading and writing. I strive to create a safe and welcoming classroom for students to feel comfortable and ready to learn. 

 

I am a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. This is my 4th year teaching. I am very passionate about reading and how important it is for students to not see reading as a chore or something they just have to do for school. I want to cultivate the love of reading for all my students! Books offer so much to our lives when we find the perfect genre or type of story we love. I am so excited to offer many types of books for you children to hopefully find what they love.

 

In my free time, I love spending time with my family and reading!
