Welcome to Pleasant Valley Elementary!

Hello there! I’m Chimpanzini Spiderini, the fuzzy little tarantula who lives in the Pleasant Valley School office! This is my very first year at Pleasant Valley, and WOW—what an adventure it’s been! The kids stop by to peek in on me every day. They gently, whisper hello and tell me about their day. They make me feel so loved and welcomed… and I hope they know I adore them right back with all eight of my happy little legs!

Now, if you’re wondering how I ended up with such a wonderfully wiggly name, gather close—I’ll spin you the story! PV families were invited to suggest names for me. Teachers gathered all the creative ideas, and each class narrowed their list down to their top three. Then buddy classes joined forces, shared their favorites, and voted on one special finalist. That name was passed on to a small group of students who shine in Habit #5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood. These thoughtful leaders got the final vote.

And that’s how I became Chimpanzini Spiderini—the proud, playful Pleasant Valley tarantula!
